Wacom announced on February 14 that it has agreed with PSC to collaborate in the field of information sharing solutions for medical institutions.

Under this partnership, the two companies aim to develop and provide advanced systems that help facilitate the information sharing process at medical institutions of various sizes. Specifically, they plan to combine Wacom's LCD pen tablet and PSC's image filing solution Claio to introduce a new system that helps medical institutions and clinics consolidate the management of medical images and electronic charts.

In addition, the partners will offer a pen tablet exclusively designed for the new system. Through the collaboration, the two companies expect to win 200 orders for the new system and sell 1,000 pen tablets in the initial year.
