Wireless technology company DMC Stratex Networks said it has commenced shipments of its Altium 155 Mbps microwave radios to Bharti Cellular in India to provide mobile backhaul and expand GSM networks in the State of Delhi and UP (West).

Bharti Cellular has also selected Stratex Networks' ProVision Network Management System for performance and configuration management. Orders from Bharti Cellular are valued at approximately $1.5 million.

According to Mr. Sarvjit S. Dhillon, CEO, Bharti Cellular Delhi and UP (West), "In keeping with our commitment of building one of the finest networks in the world and to deliver to our customers a slew of customized products and services on the GSM network, our technology partnership with Stratex, we believe, will stand us in good stead." -(World IT Report)
