Optical Network Tester tests 40/43G networks
Combining 40/43G optical and electrical interfaces with jitter and wander, ONT-506 and ONT-512 testers help address bandwidth demands being placed on networks by deployment of triple-play services. Technical features include concatenated and fully structured signals for SONET OC-768/SDH STM-256, OTN OTU-3 with bulk or SONET/SDH client, unframed 39.813 Gbps and 43.018 Gbps BER testing, and complete alarm, error, overhead, and pointer generation and analysis for SONET/SDH and OTN.
SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 28 / -- JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU; TSX: JDU) today introduced the industry's first all-in-one portable tester for 40/43G networks. Combining 40/43G optical and electrical interfaces with jitter and wander in JDSU's ONT-506 and ONT-512 testers, the solution was developed to help address the bandwidth demands being placed on metro and long haul networks by the rapid deployment of triple-play services.
The 40/43G module for the ONT-506 and ONT-512 supports the research and development, service verification testing and production needs of network equipment manufacturers, as well as the equipment verification, installation and maintenance requirements of service providers.
