The Aculab Prosody S media processing product will support the latest features of the Envox 6.2 Communications Development Platform. Envox 6.2, which has been certified by the VoiceXML Forum, is a communications development platform that significantly reduces the time, cost and complexity of developing and deploying a wide range of open, standards-based voice solutions including interactive voice response (IVR) and enhanced self-service, call centre applications, alerts and notifications, voice portal, carrier service and enterprise communications. Prosody S, a software only media processing product, supports a number of speech processing features including matrix conferencing with automatic gain control (AGC), noise input gating, DTMF clamping and identification.

Matrix conferencing allows connection between multiple parties, allowing several groups to participate in the conversation.

These features allow clearer and more consistent voice-call quality, particularly important over voice over IP/SIP voice connections.

Easy-to-use audio conferencing is frequently demanded by users as part of their company's internal phone system.

Audio conferencing is driven by the growing trend of home-based and mobile workers who need to communicate with colleagues and customers effectively with easy conference call set up and in-call management (adding new and dropping participants).

The AGC feature ensures that conference callers hear a consistent volume level enabling better participation and understanding; a major step forward compared with many conference calls today where each speaker is often heard at vastly different volume levels.

The additional features extend the capabilities available for solution designers to rapidly develop innovative and high quality voice solutions.
